Among other products, HTR supplies hardened milling cutter holders and drive spindles to pioneers in the mechanical engineering industry.
These are nitrided or induction-hardened. In induction hardening, the areas to be hardened are heated using an induction current and thenquenched with a water spray as needed. The entire process is tailored to a single component, allowing even components with complex geometries to be hardened. The result is components with high fatigue resistance and improved wear resistance.
