The story
HTR Rosenblattl GesmbH was founded in2000. The shareholders are Rico GmbH and Mr. Rosenblattl. From the company’s founding until it began operations on February 1,2001, an office with one employee was set up. During this time, equipment was ordered, the facility was adapted, and the first business acquisitions were made. After the company launched with six employees, further investments led to the workforce expanding to 12 employees by2004.
In2005and2006, the number of employees was increased to 18. In addition, the company’s business portfolio was expanded to include heat treatments such as inert-gas hardening, case hardening, and carbonitriding.
In the summerof 2009, Mr. Helmut Jan, an engineer, was hired as the new managing director; he took over this role entirely from Mr. Rosenblattl in April2010. Mr. Rosenblattl became an authorized signatory in April2010and remains with the company as a consultant.
By 2010, the number of employees had grown to 29. Work on expanding the production hall began in the spring. The addition is scheduled to be completed in the fall so that the new equipment already on order can be put into operation in the winter of 2010.
The new facilities began operations in early2011. The workforce has grown to 35 employees. At the end of the year, two more new facilities were ordered.
In 2012, the two additional systems—one for inert-gas hardening (air tempering furnace) and one for vacuum hardening (inert-gas tempering furnace)—were put into operation.
The most recent new facility, a nitriding line (tunnel furnace), was commissionedin 2013. The company now has 38 employees. Management has decided to implement ISO 14001:2008 in2014.
ISO 14001:2008 was implementedin 2014. That same year, the decision was made to invest in plasma nitriding with a new bell-type furnace system. In the fall of 2014, another major investment was made in a materials analysis instrument.
In early2015, the new hood system in the plasma nitriding area was put into operation.
In 2018 , HTR acquired a new induction system, which expanded its production capacity and increased efficiency. This investment enabled HTR to further improve its heat treatment services and strengthen its market position.
To mark its 20th anniversary in 2020 , HTR celebrated significant milestones. In addition to the induction system, the company has four vacuum furnaces and its deep-freezing infrastructure. These acquisitions over the past few years ensured that HTR could continue to meet the growing demands of its customers.
In the year 2022 , HTR continued its growth trajectory with the acquisition of a second induction system, as well as a state-of-the-art crack inspection system and a straightening press. These technologies significantly expanded HTR’s range of services and improved quality assurance in production.
The acquisition by Semperit AG in 2023 marked a strategic move for HTR, ushering the company into a new era of collaboration and development. At the same time, HTR expanded its services by establishing its own fleet for customer transportation, which further increased logistical efficiency and flexibility.
2025 HTR will celebrate its25th anniversary in 2025.
